Chapter Programs and Events 2019

Our chapter actively promotes and contributes to the objectives of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution: historic preservation, education, and patriotism. The chapter meets at 1 PM on the third Sunday of the month from September through June. Exceptions are in December, when our holiday party is scheduled as available for the venue; any month in which the third Sunday falls before a Federal Holiday or the Holiday is on the third Sunday (Easter, Palm Sunday); on in which an off-site activity is planned, and in June when the Prince George's County DAR Chapters have their annual Flag Day picnic.


The public is invited to attend our interesting programs. There is no cost to attend! Please contact us in advance for further information and location. Please Note: We DO NOT meet at the Harmony Hall manor house.

May 25, 2019 — Members will be at Rolling Thunder Open House sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Washington, DC in Fort Washington, MD. Please stop by!

August 6, 2019 — Members will be at the National Night Out at the District VII Police Station in Fort Washington, MD. Please stop by to say hello!

October 2019 — Service Project Date TBD - We'll roll up our sleeves to clean up the grounds of Harmony Hall manor; the public is invited to lend a hand!

November 17, 2019 —  SAR Law Enforcement Awards


Our chapter members also enjoy guided tours as chapter programs. These have included: Surratt House, Mount Airy Mansion, Maryland Veterans Museum, Valley Forge, The White House, the U.S. Capitol, and the George Washington Masonic Memorial.
